SHE-MECC is a project by the Department of Mechanical Engineering of Politecnico di Milano on the occasion of the STEM Week and the International Day of Women and Girls in Science (February, 11th). Prof. Sara Bagherifard, the principal investigator of the ERC Consolidator Grant funding Archès Lab, shares her story. Native to Iran, Sara has demonstrated exceptional abilities in the field of scientific research for the design, development, and implementation of multifunctional materials for structural applications. Her determination and talent serve as an example for all women aspiring to excel in STEM subjects.
